"Airships Stay Up Longer . . . . . . ."
On September 5 1998, Airship Management Services’ Skyship 600 set an official world endurance record for "time aloft without refueling" at 14 hours and 10 minutes.
The airship, owned and operated by Airship Management and leased to FujiFilm USA, was piloted by Captain Jim Gross, accompanied by Co-Captain John McHugh (Chief Pilot), and First Officers Mark Pinsky and Ken Petshaw.
Previously, in September 1990, a Skyship 600 set an unofficial world record in England at 52 hours piloted by Captain David Burns.
